Problems with PyLoad and MiniDLNA Plugin

  • Hi everyone,

    I have currently installed Debian Wheezy and OMV (1.0.8 Kralizec) ontop of it. As of now I have encountered two problems with this setup.
    After installing the DLNA plugin and clicking on it on the left panel, it will load for about a minute or so and then output this error.

    Code
    communication failure

    Otherwise the Plugin works.

    Another thing I have noticed if when enabling the "Show tab containing PyLoad web interface frame." option, and then clicking on the tab. The webgui will not show up. Opening the webgui manually works fine though.
    Has anyone noticed something similar?

    Thanks!

    omv-extras.org is the main third party repo for OMV. Before you install that, are there errors in the output of: omv-engined -df

    omv 7.0.5-1 sandworm | 64 bit | 6.8 proxmox kernel

    plugins :: omvextrasorg 7.0 | kvm 7.0.13 | compose 7.1.4 | k8s 7.1.0-3 | cputemp 7.0.1 | mergerfs 7.0.4

    omv-extras.org plugins source code and issue tracker - github - changelogs

  • Download this and install with:

    http://omv-extras.org/testing/…lt_1.0.10-svn1378_all.deb

    dpkg -i (then the package name)

    Code
    omv-engined -df

    Only says that the daemon is already running. After installing that package and trying to install minidlna it now produces this error:

    Code
    Error #3003:
    exception 'OMVException' with message 'Failed to get configuration (xpath=//services/minidlna)' in /usr/share/openmediavault/engined/module/minidlna.inc:145
    Stack trace:
    #0 /usr/share/openmediavault/engined/rpc/services.inc(63): OMVModuleMiniDlna->getStatus()
    #1 [internal function]: OMVRpcServiceServices->getStatus(Array, Array)
    #2 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/rpcservice.inc(125): call_user_func_array(Array, Array)
    #3 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/rpc.inc(79): OMVRpcServiceAbstract->callMethod('getStatus', Array, Array)
    #4 /usr/sbin/omv-engined(501): OMVRpc::exec('Services', 'getStatus', Array, Array, 1)
    #5 {main}

    (in fact, this error comes when installing every plugin now.)

    The Plugin works though and no more long waiting times. Weird thing though, minidlna is reachable at all times, even when I don't have it enabled.

  • A service can be running normally even tough there is an issue with OMV. Try this:

    apt-get --reinstall install openmediavault-minidlna

    If you still have problem after that give results of this:

    dpkg -l | grep openmediavault

  • Don't seem to have any more issues now...Other than miniDLNA always being enabled.

    This is the output

    Code
    ii openmediavault 1.0.10 all Open network attached storage solution

  • Aaron, can you use service without an "s" in getEventMessagePath now???

    Code
    private function getEventMessagePath()
        {
            return sprintf("org.openmediavault.service.%s", $this->getPluginName());
        }

    from module.inc

    No. I fixed it in rpc but didn't notice the module. Fix will be in the repo in a few minutes.

    Great! The bug while minor looking actually caused a lot of issues.
