apt-get update failed

    Trying to go from 0.5.46 to 1.0,


    however the apt-get update command is failing.



    mirror.csclub.uwaterloo.ca is a secondary mirror for debian, but doesn't seem to be operational. I was planning to edit the sources.list but saving results in 'permission denied' despite having root access.


    Thoughts?

    Update to the latest 0.5.x first.

    I just told you to update to unlock the sources.list file.

    That is precisely what I did. After updating omvextrasorg, sources.list was editable. Using a new mirror the update went smoothly, upgrade had a hiccup.



    I've rebooted (perhaps the fatal mistake), and several daemons failed to start. http and ssh access are down. Even logging in locally kicks me out to log in again.


    It looks like I'll be installing from scratch, unless you have any suggestions.

    I switched from FreeNas about a month ago and I am loving OMV.


    It appears the U Waterloo mirror is down with no date for going back online:


    2014-10-15 Our free software mirror is currently down due to maintenance and multiple disk failure on the backup. We are working on bringing up a replacement. We do not have an ETA at this time for when service will be restored. Apolgies for any inconvenience.


    For myself and other users of this mirror how can we switch to another?
