nginx instead of apache?

  • im running an rpi with OMV, and as im keen on keeping memory/cpu usage at a minimum to give the system the needed resources when needed. now im sure ppl already know apache is an resource hogging application ( http://www.wikivs.com/wiki/Apache_vs_nginx#Performance ), atleast when burdend with more load

as more and more ARM devices keep poping up this subject is geting more relevant

thought id bring the subject to light, and im wondering what thoughts votdev/the dev team has around this

edit: also how does OMV team see the future for OMV by using ARM, will you guys activly develop for that platform or "just maintain" whatever debian sends down the pipes?

Volker mentioned his reason for using apache somewhere but I couldn't find it. I would think something even lighter like thttpd or gatling would be better for the rpi.
