SMART Error ABRT for 3 disks on 4

  • Hello

I have a NAS (HP Proliant N40L) with 4 * 2TB hard drives in RAID5 from Western Digital (RED model).

Since sunday morning, I get this alert on 3 of my 4 hard

Device: /dev/disk/by-id/xxx [SAT], ATA error count Increased from 0 to 1

As an attachment , SMART information of each disk.

Apparently, HD#3 has no error but at boot system, I got the following message for this HD:
    failed to enable aa (error_mask = 0x1)

A Long Self-Test has been realized on the first two HD.
    Result: No error.

Someone could help me and tell me if my 3 (or 4) HD are dead?

    Thank you for your help

  • The Disks can overlive a dozend of those ATA Errors for thousands of runtime hours. I would not be worried about it.

Your smart data also looks fine.

    Greetings
    David

  • They could, but I wouldn't bet money on this.
