Asus E2KM1I-DELUXE motherboard

    Hi all,
    I registered to this forum to post a message, but using this forum for a few monthts. Until now iám running openmediavault on a old motherboard asus P5G41C-M-LX with E6700 3,2GHz and 4GB ram. Two 2 WD 2TB drives in an old pc cabinet. This runs fine but takes a littlebit (to much power).


    Now a friend told me that this is nice NAS board ASUS E2KM1I-DELUXE
    It is equipped with 5 SATA600 ports 1 ESATA , 1 GBIt lan, WIFI usb 3.
    Max 16 GB ram in MiniITX size
    Niow i'am not a big linux guru, but will this perform okm with OMV.
    The network card is not the problem
    But the wifi and usb 3.0 drivers maybe

    With the backports 3.16 kernel, you should be fine. Wifi isn't supported by OMV though.

    Use SATA to IDE convertors for the two data drives. In this case I will have one IDE drive containing OMV+OS and two SATA drives which I plan to connect as:
