[1.5] Updates produce errors (since updgrade from 0.5)

Hi guys,
first time I cannot resolve the problem on my own
I've updated my box a few weeks ago from 0.5 to 1.0. At the moment i'm running 1.5. Since the update i'm getting the following error message at the end of each update process.
Dunno whats wrong with it, everythings working except I have to run omv-mkaptidx each time I get the apt mail to see the updates in the
web gui (or update using commandline).

What I tried so far is:
apt-get clean (different parameters)
omv-mkaptidx

Nothing solved the issue permanent.
Anyone any suggestion?

I've only seen this error in flexget, it can be related to strange characters.

Can you post the content of '/etc/default/openmediavault'?

Something wired must be in this file which confuses the python module used to read and decode the file content.

Try an edit this line at /etc/default/openmediavault

OMV_I18N_MINIFY_JS_DICT_FILE=”no”

to OMV_I18N_MINIFY_JS_DICT_FILE="no"

the difference is in the quotes, you have the special ones, now install a new plugin to see if the error disappears, i've just copied your file and it produces effectively that error

Have changed it, luckily there was a gcc update to test this immediately.
Seems like it's working without any error right now.
But where have the different quotes come from?

Have to update our company (~20 people) omv the next days (still 0.5) and I'm a bit
scared that it's going wrong there, too.

Those special ones they usually come in my experience editing a file from the text editor in Mac OS X. Like logging with Cyberduck to sftp, and editing the file directly and placing the "smart" quotes instead of the normal ones.
