Automatic reboot after copying large files from disk to raid

  • Hi,

after copying large files (more than 10 GB) from single disk (NTFS) to mdRaid5 (ext4) via SSH, OMV (OMV 0.4.4 @ AMD E350 / 8 GB RAM)crashes an reboot automatically. After that reboot, the Raid will sync again.

The Syslog gives no reason for that  Any suggestions?

    Thanks and greetings from Germany

  • How are you copying the files, via a wired connection or wireless? It could be a nic issue. There could be an issue with the files you are copying too. Any error in the file can cause something like this. On my machines I stopped using Realtek nics. I have all Intel and not 1 issue since. Which motherboard do you have? Have you tried transferring files via smb?

Only local copy via shell: cp /media/ntfs /media/mdraid

ASUS E35M1-M. I'll put the NTFS-disk into a Windows-machine an try to copy over SMB.

    Thanks for your answer!
