Hi, I do face the next problem. Just created some subfolders in Multimedia (Audio,Video and Pictures). When I try to add the a Mediathek I can't find the subfolders only "Multimedia". I haven't any idea how I can get that fixed. Is that something related to user rights? Or what can I do to find the reason for it?
Plex Plugin -- Plex Pass

When you create a shared folder make sure you use the default dropdown. This is chmod (privileges) 755. It is constrained further by Samba leaving folders 755 and files as 644. I would recommend making one shared media folder. Then share it via Samba. Connect to that share and create your other media folders (e.g. movies, music, photos, tv, etc.....)
-
All plexmediaserver needs is read privileges.
-
Multimedia is my shared folder, I creatd from the PC the new folders inside the Multimedia folder. My PC is a Ubuntu PC. I could create the folders and copy all files to those folders.
-
Are you using the remote share plugin to mount the ubuntu share on OMV?
-
No I did the mount via fstab. Then I created the subfolders inside the NAS Multimdia.
-
Change directory one level above multimedia folder and gives results of:
stat Multimedia -
Where should do that?
-
When you are connected via SSH
-
It will show all the parameters (e.g. chmod, chown, etc..) of the folder.
-
Hope that is right?

OMV is the server. The exports (nfs shares) are in OMV server.
You mounted the nfs share in Ubuntu (a client). Then in ubuntu PC you started creating the folders Audio Pictures Videos right?
Ok so as i understand your plex media server is running in OMV. The content folder you need to add is in /media/uuid/Multimedia (the uuid is the long number)
The folder you're pointing to is the export folder, that's a nfs local mount bind. You shouldn't be adding content from there (technically is the same) but your volume drive is /media/uuid.
Please do the following go to shared folder, select the reset permissions tab, select your multimedia share, and reset permission (admin RW, users RW, other R-only). Also check the box that says clear all ACL's
Go back to plex media server and add the content from /media/uuid/Multimedia not from /export

Hello, I somehow managed to get Plex running. But what I can't understand is why the folders music and pictures do have status used = no. Did I build the hirarchy wrong?
-
The Yes/No indicates if the share is being used by any other service of OMV in the WEBUI, but only in the webUI of OMV.
-
But Plex is also using "Pictuers" so shouldn't it show "yes" as well?
-
-
They have no because they are just a folder. You have to use them with something or share them via samba, or nfs, before they will show as "yes". Yes means it is used by a service.
