When I try to copy a few GBytes of files to OMV, within a few minutes the network connections stop with no warnings, but the console is still alive. The syslog has a "net_ratelimit" message and then a few more "eth0: link up" messages, and then no further network access. At this point I go to the console and reboot.
Note this only happens when I copy files from a PC that has a Gbit ethernet - the OMV box also has Gbit ethernet. The data flows at around 500 Gbps until the network crash.
The syslog has:
Feb 28 16:04:48 OMV kernel: [ 4519.512278] r8169 0000:03:00.0: eth0: link up
Feb 28 16:04:54 OMV kernel: [ 4525.200285] net_ratelimit: 21 callbacks suppressed
Feb 28 16:04:54 OMV kernel: [ 4525.200296] r8169 0000:03:00.0: eth0: link up
... about 5 more "link up"
A google search for "net_ratelimit" says to increase some TCP buffers in sysctl.conf, but this has had no effect.
net.core.rmem_max = 67108864
net.core.wmem_max = 67108864
net.ipv4.tcp_rmem = 4096 87380 6710886
4net.ipv4.tcp_wmem = 4096 65536 67108864
System is: OMV version 1.9 on an AMD Athlon II X2 250, 4GB ram, system is 500GB SATA HDD, and two data 3TB SATA drives
Any suggestions? Thanks
