How to run a command on a VM on startup?

  • Hi @all,

this might be a dumb question, but I haven't found anything on the net - maybe due to the wrong search query...
I have a VM (Debian 7.8) on my OMV running. The VM is set to start up automatically as soon as the the host wakes up by WOL. On the VM I have a piler (mail archivation) installation running.
Unfortunately, the piler service stops every time the OMV hibernates and needs to be started manually after start - which is annoying.
So, how can I have my VM to run a command on startup?
    Thank you for your ideas,

    br,

    Gilhin

Google scripts in the ip-up.d folder. A script here should run whenever the network starts again.
