Hey all here.

I would like to stream the media from my OMV on an Android smartphone. Which plugin do you use for this? It should be easy to configure and use; and the smartphone app cost as little as possible. Please give me hints, work the subsonic and media browser probably down.

Es kommt immer darauf an, was du machen willst. Plex ist sehr umfangreich, aber auch sehr rechenintensiv. Begeistert bin ich von MiniDNLA.
Als Andoid app nichts Besseres als Bubbleupnp. Kostet zwar ein bischen, ist das Geld aber wert(Gibt auch ne kostenlose Testversion)

Plex kostet im Augenblick 4,33 Euro. ein bisschen viel um nur zu testen ...

Ich möchte lediglich Musik auf das Smartphone über WLAN streamen, da kommt dann noch ein Blutooth-Lautsprecher dran.
MiniDLNA benutze ich, um Filme auf meinen Samsung-Smart-TV zu streamen, funktioniert sehr gut.

Ich gucke mal nach Bubbleupnp und melde mich nochmal.

The plugin/server is free for PlexMediaServer and the mobile apps are not expensive. For remote use nothing can beat it. I use it for video, music and my cell photos.

Dein Tipp ist wirklich sehr gut! Die Bubbleupnp-App (Testversion) hat auf Anhieb funktioniert!! Hier ist jetzt noch der Blutooth-Lautsprecher dran, schön schön schön!!

Plex bietet halt auch umfangreiche Bibliotheks Funktionen. Aber was für mich etwas nervig ist, ist andauernde scannen der Bibliotheken alle paar Stunden. Aber du kannst ja jederzeit Plex und MiniDNLA parallel benutzen bzw. probieren

Bubbleupnp ist halt genial, weil man es gleichzeitig als Sender und Empfänger benutzen kann. Beispiel: ich nehme das Handy und streame damit vom Server zum Fernseher, oder anderes Beispiel, ich habe ein altes Handy an der Stereoanlage angeschlossen. So kann ich vom neuen Handy als Sender aufs alte Handy als Empfänger, Musik streamen. beide mit Bubbleupnp.

BubbleUPNP is good for local use. I use it to render to my WDTV Live all the time. But if you want to watch movies while you are away from home Plex is the best. If you want meta data and transcoding Plex is hard to beat.

BubbleUPNP works with media from your PlexMediaServer too. It is easy to switch between your libraries (Plex or MiniDLNA) while using BubbleUIPNP.

I use Plex, MiniDLNA and MediaBrowser. MiniDLNA and MediaBrowser I just use for music. Plex is my favorite.

Also ich habe schon vor ewigkeiten aufgehört mich über den Preis von wenigen € für Apps zu beschweren... Zur not kann mans ja immernoch zurückgeben.

Ich wollte mich nicht beschweren; aber zum testen sollte es wenigstens eine zeitbeschränkte oder kostenlose Version geben. Dafür würde ich auch gern Werbung akzeptieren ... oder die App kostet unter 1 Euro, das geht dann mal noch. Ich bin Rentner, da ist die Ausgabe von knapp 5 Euro für eine App schon zu überlegen.
