CouchPotato Setup

  • Hey guys,

    I'm not sure what's wrong here, but here's the issue. I have installed couchpotato via the OMV-Extra's plugin. It appears to install correctly and I can get into the CouchPotato tab via the GUI of OMV. Unfortunately when I click on the drop down menu's to select the Repository and Branch nothing appears and I cannot select anything to Enable the service. These are obviously required fields to enable couchpotato. I have tried uninstalling the plugin and re-installing it and I get the same thing.
    One strange thing that happens to the GUI when I try to enable the CP service without the required fields is that the GUI becomes unresponsive, and I will have to refresh the browser to get back into the OMV GUI.

    Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

    Thanks

  • What do you see if you run omv-showkey couchpotato

    Code
    # omv-showkey couchpotato
        <couchpotato>
          <enable>1</enable>
          <branch>develop</branch>
          <repo>https://github.com/RuudBurger/CouchPotatoServer.git</repo>
          <show_tab>1</show_tab>
          <forks/>
        </couchpotato>

    What browser are you using? I think I had problems with IE but Chrome was ok.

    MySQL (Percona[size=8]) | Newznab | Sonarr | CP | HP | NZBget | YAMJ | CUPS

  • This is what I get when I run that command, which makes sense since I cannot enable it within the GUI because the pull downs to select the branch and repository don't work.

    Code
    # omv-showkey couchpotato
        <couchpotato>
          <enable>0</enable>
          <showtab>0</showtab>
    <branch></branch>
          <repo></repo>
        </couchpotato>

    I'm using Chrome as my browser. I have also tried Firefox and I'm having same the problem.

  • You could try adding https://github.com/RuudBurger/CouchPotatoServer.git as a new fork and then see if you can select that from the drop down box.

  • I checked in a VM and had no issues with Couchpotato :(

    You can do :-

    1. I could connect to you via team viewer to try and resolve this issues for you.
    2. Manually add the info to config.xml (I do not recommend users to do this)
    3. Wait for an updated version.

  • Using Teamviewer would be a big help. What time zone are you in?

    I'm wondering if I were to uninstall Couchpotato are there files left on the system? If so, would a purge or manually removing these files correct the problem when I try and reinstall it?

    Here's the message I get when I uninstall the plugin...

    I just noticed that it can't find the mail spool... Not sure if this could be the problem?

  • I'm free now (UK) PM me details and I will connect now.
