config.xml useable to restore on top of fresh install of OMV?

  • Think I borked my install and somehow upgraded to Jessie.
Looking like there's an excellent chance that I'm going to have to rebuild. I have the current config.xml still though. Can this be used to replace the config.xml from a fresh OMV install? If not, how close can I get?

OMV 2.2.13 (Stone burner) Kernel 3.2.0-4-amd64 omvextrasorg 1.34
    Case: U-NAS NSC-200 , Power Supply: picoPSU-80, 80w , Mainboard: ASRock C2550D4I , CPU: INTEL Atom Quad Core 2.40 Ghz , DDR3:Crucial 4GB (1x CT51272BD160B) , OS: SSD Crucial MX100 128 GB , DATA: 2x WD Red WD30EFRX - 3 TB RAID-1 , NIC: (2x INTEL i210) , USB: Vantec USB3 UGT-PC312 PCI-e

  • Okay, found it.

Question though: Was just running the omv-firstaid and notice there's an option for "restore configuration backup". I *did* coincidentally happen to run a system config backup just the other day and have located it on the drive, in an 'omvbackup' directory.
Is this something I could use?

Read this thread on how to restore that backup. And no, you can't use omv-firstaid to do it.
