Netzlaufwerk kann auf Windows 8.1 nicht verbunden werden

  • Guten Abend,

    Windows Explorer: \\IP.Deines.OMV.Servers

Hast du SMB aktiviert und Shares eingerichtet?

Hast du in der Service Discovery SMB aktiviert?

  • Findest du den Server denn überhaupt? Ist er anpingbar?

    Windows Explorer: \\IP.Deines.OMV.Servers

  • Is your OMV a normal machine or an ARM device? Do you see your OMV machine when you click on the network icon on your desktop???

Can you ping your OMV from your Windows 8.1?

    Gruss
    David

    Have a normal machine.
About Explorer because I can not connect with my 46.xxx.xxx.xxx IP.
But with CMD because I can ping the server.

  • OMG.... OK, I read all this now. You want Samba to work with your root server that you connect to via VPN??

Noooooooooooo... It will not work. You are using a routed VPN. You need a bridged VPN for this. Samba is dependent on broadcasting. Broadcasting will not work on a routed VPN.

  • Are you using the firewall in OMV web gui ???

    No

No, with a root server, it works without VPN.
From my HomePC but not because I have a 46.xxx.xxx.xxx IP,
but if I use a VPN and get a different IP that does not start with 46.xxx.xxx.xxx, it works. But if the IP starts with 46.xxx.xxx.xxx it works not.

  • What are you using for VPN??? With a routed VPN the Network/Explorer will not show the remote PC/Shares in the explorer because the broadcasting does not go through to the virtual network created by the VPN.

You have your subnet that is created by your LAN (e.g 192.168.1.0-192.168.1.255). Then the VPN creates a virtual network with a different range. When you connect to the VPN you are assiged an IP address on the virtual network. Data is transferred between the virtual network and the subnet your LAN is on.

I use hide.io as VPN. However, it is not because of the connection to the VPN, I want no VPN I use had only tested if at all possible to connect it. The connection works without VPN but only if the IP does not begin with 46.xxx.xxx.xxx.
