Openmediavault and Kodi and FHEM

    For now, there are 3 "Server" working in my Cave:


    - Openmediavault on Asrock q2900m, 8GB, Raid1 w/ SSD-Systemdisk
    - OpenElec / Kodi on Raspi No. 1
    - FHEM Homeautomatisation in Raspi No. 2


    Now I want to put it all together ... how shall i proceed? What is the best Setup / Setting? OMV 1.29 or 2.1.x


    Are these steps the right one?

    Hello Micha, depends on what you are looking for. I personally would install OMV, and a VM with FHEM on it, to let the Server do serverthings...
    Each RPi with kodi, one for the livingroom, one in the bedroom.

    Why not FHEM as service beneath OMV? It seems to me, that using virtualbox is some kind overkill on a multitasking system like Debian-Linux ... or are their reasons I don't see ... using a Pi on each TV seems to be reasonable

    Ich trenne meine Dienste grundsätzlich aus Erfahrung ;) so habe ich eine FHEM stable und eine zum basteln. Und kann die zum basteln so oft neu starten, löschen etc. ohne das meine Frau ihre Aufnahmen stoppen muss...

    Das ist ein Argument ... so kann man wenigstens das Licht schalten, wenn das Logitech-Modul klemmt

    Mit einer Debian VM? Kommt auf deine Hardware an, ich tippe auf 3-5% AVG.
