Boot Fails ... Flash-Plugin? USB-Mount?

  • There are known issues with fs2ram lacking safety checks and keeping /var/cache in RAM instead of disabling package caches (the main writer to /var/cache).

In Stoneburner there is a new version of the flash plugin that uses folder2ram instead (my own script) that has safety checks and leaves /var/cache on disk.

When I have time I'm going to automate the fstab editing, generation/usage of a swapfile generated in data drives if there is less than 2GB of ram, and other stuff.

  • so i did all of this but i encounter a problem: my / filesystem is nor read-only so when it boots pretty much any service fails to start. Any hints on how to solve this issue?

LE: my mistake i don't know why but for soem reason i've deleted the filesystem type: ext4
