shuts down - I think it's temperature but how to check..

  • hi

my omv installation shuts down by it self. I think it's temperature caused but am unsure how to check.
is there anywhere in OMV settings I can check? is there any temperature settings I can change?

sure.. if you can tell me where to find them.?

it's running as I type.. it's usually during the hottest periods that it shuts down.. which is why I suspect temperature..
I am hoping that I can check somewhere to confirm this?

  • That will help also sorry should have ask't that :S

    hwinfo --short:

  • It is a good cpu and a haswell. I doubt it is temp issue if fan is running unless someone did not connect the heatsink properly. It is a 22 nanometer cpu. They run much cooler than the older cpus.

Did you look through your logs around time it shutdown???

Did you look in bios and see what temp said there just for a basis. If it is running hot there then you probably have issue with the heatsink mount.

Give more info., is this self built machine or if you bought what brand/model?
