    yep oops big time. already more then 4hrs of correction :D but my fault as already said. Plus I made one or two wrong remote share links. Hope I can sort that out or they where still on the Raid5 from last time.
    Some movies are in double now but physicaly you can just access one.


    Do you have any idea on how to clean that out in a good way? As soon as the server is back to his network, I will also let Plex clean out cash to see if that helps. But I think its because I made wrong connections.

    I think we can close this thread. Du to the fact that the HD is broken now, I think it was the problem from the start. Many thanks again for your help. Live is pretty mean. Just done all the config and settings I needed and then it fails. :D

    Buy a used laptop hard drive from ebay for the OS.

    I'm getting a very similar error when I try to update my OMV.


    I get this snippet in a pop-up window from the GUI. This is just a snippet of a long string.

    Post what do you get when you execute apt-get update as root.

    Disable the VDR repo in the OMV-Extras.org section. Then try to update again. Once done, you can re-enable the VDR repo.

    OMV AMD64 7.x on headless Chenbro NR12000 1U 1x 8m Quad Core E3-1220 3.1GHz 32GB ECC RAM.

    bought a sata controller and now the same problem.
    I think the installation is in that part not well done.
    Why the heck does the installer wants to install grub allways
    in dev/sda when you have chosen dev/sdg.


    Now the installation failed again and I have to use Lilo again
    just to get it running again. And then after a few month the partitions
    fail again. This is now the 3rd HD iam using.

    man this is seriously bad made in my eyes. I installed from CD now and now I have a mirror error and CANT INSTALL GRUB. I change back to freeNAS or NASforFree because there I dont have these issues and frankly there my HDs never failed. Running now the system on the 3rd HD (USB not included) and this cant be my fault any more. Really sick of this and I liked OMV very much.


    Not to say, that I am really pissed off now.

    We see errors in the non default mirrors, non USA, from time to time. Usually the German mirrors are really good. Not quite sure what is going on there. Mind you these are Debian issues and not OMV.

    I also get an error, I tried apt cleaning and a reboot.

    The squeeze repos don't exist anymore. You have to switch to squeeze-lts. I recommend upgrading though.

    To fix the updating problem, change the repos in /etc/apt/sources.list to point to squeeze-lts.


    sed -i "s/squeeze\//squeeze-lts\//g" /etc/apt/sources.list
    apt-get update
