  • In the Emby UI how are you adding the library??? Are you selecting the media share and calling it mixed contect type???? You should be selecting a subfolder like Movies and the content type should be using Movies as content type. You are not using the mixed content type are you????

I was just reading this and it seems that this person was having issues with mixed content type.
    http://emby.media/community/in…folder-not-showing-files/

  • No. Not using mixed. I'm adding media by choosing the proper type. Music, photos, video etc. depending on what I tested. Then browsing to the '/media/845bf6a4-d31c-4f05-80b7-249e51a4e743/TestMedia' folder.

The only thing 'special' I can think about is that I'm using the flashmemory plugin, and I have also Plex installed. Could either be causing problems?

In the meantime I have installed Emby on my QNAP (the original source of my media library). This worked first time, so now at least I have something working.

PS: You have done a tremendous work of helping. Thank you. I'm not sure how much more time I have tonight, and in the next 4-5 days I'm on vacation. So if this problem is unresolved for now, then so be it. At least I have it working on my QNAP. That has to be enough for now.

  • Well. The hardware platform is an old HP Mediasmart EX490 home server.

The CPU socket is an LGA 775 and the original CPU was a 2.2GHz Celeron 450 (PC mark of 633). I recently upgraded it to 4GB RAM and a 2.66 GHz Xeon L5430 (PC Mark of 3995) in LGA 771 socket using an adaptor and modifying the bios with the correct microcode. This platform is the main reason for using this server instead of my QNAP.

  • Go to Access Rights Management/Shared Folders/ then at the top select Reset Permissions TAB.
Select your media share for the shared folder and use the default admin r/w users r/w other r/w or use admin r/w users r others r.
    Then click on save.

    restart emby and try it.

  • No luck. I also tried with clicking on 'Reset Permissions' button on the Reset Permissions TAB. Still nothing. Clicking 'scan library' in Emby web client several times. Nothing. Added more photos to folder. Still nothing.

    This is getting really weird.

  • Uninstalled plugin
    Rebooted OMV
    Installed plugin
Went through initial setup wizard etc...
    Readded library.

    OMG! It WORKS!

We should have thought about a reinstall earlier..

Thank you very much for the patience and support. You rock!

  • I have the exact same issue after a new installation of emby in omv2. My setup is identical to nielspauli. Plex already installed, flashmemory plugin, even same cpu and mobo platform!

Results from various suggested commands look the same...

After a reinstallation of emby weird things happen... The media library is showing now with movies. But in my broswer when I click to see details of a movie, it works, but when I try the same for a second movie, emby server crashes.

After a reboot of omv, the same happens when looking into details of my movies. 1st movie, ok, 2nd crashes server.
