Hello, I've successful installed OMV 2x. Now I got problems by using the NFS share on a Linux client. After Login on the client, I get the shares defined by my autofs process, but after some minutes the shares a not longer available on the client. Do have any idea, what I can do to avoid the "disconnection" ?? Thanks a lot for your help!

Maybe you configured the autofs with timeout? I use It with time out, otherwise It prevents auto shutdown acting.

Hi subzero79, thanks for your reply!
I didn't define any timeouts as far as I can remember in the autofs configuration. Here the the two files on my client side.

Does the same happen if you use the file explorer sidebar or connect to server in the desktop?
The syslog in omv records the mount and unmount request. So check there what happening if the client is requesting disconnect. From there not much we can do must be a configuration issue.

/etc/autofs.conf defines the timeouts in general (300 seconds). autofs from debian jessie, must be the same as you're using (ubuntu?)

Thanks! In my Ubuntu install there's the autofs.conf in /etc/init/... . I've started the two shares by use of Caja 1.8.2, from the sidepanel. What's strange... after I stop the automount process and restart by
"sudo automount -f -v" , I get these messages ... . There's something faulty in my setup somehow.Any idea how to solve this ?

There is a folder ".hidden" maybe that causes autofs to try and read it and match it against an entry in the configuration. This is not an omv issue btw. I've already point you where to modify the timeouts.

Thanks for your advice - I'll refer to Linux board and try to continue my research.
