OMV 3 Fresh Install ZFS stacktrace

  • Not sure and I can't see anything obvious in a google search but this is a fresh install with the only thing added is the extras repo.

    Do you have linux-headers installed? They are needed to build the module.

    I have the backports kernel installed and from what I understand that includes the linux-headers?

    Yes, if you used the button in omv-extras to install it.


    You could try removing and reinstalling the plugin or post the output of: dpkg -l | grep zfs

    You could try apt-get install --reinstall zfs-dkms too

  • So neither options got results in the positive direct yet.


  • I tried running apt-get install zfs-dkms in the terminal to get the reason for failure and I got a good log.

    you can install manually built new version from source by yourself (there is a method on link, but I recommend to wait)
    or
    wait until 0.6.5.8-2 arrive
    (I don't know exactly when this arrive, but it seems within a week)

  • when I posted, it was exactly 0.6.5.8 (maybe browser cache? I don't know why)
