they may not be the best thing to use as a NAS but for some of us it's all we can afford and for are needs they work well plus OMV makes things so easy and if i ever meet any of the developers i would give you a big man hug

I didn't say that either. Why didn't you just say "Can you upload this to SF?". I haven't been reading enough to know if the image is good or not. And since it is gone, I don't know what you want me to do.

Do you by any chance still have a copy of the image you can re-upload to somewhere? I have just come across this thread when looking for an OMV solution for my Pi4, and the image is gone. Appreciate the effort you've put in here, and would like to use the image if it's available.

The raspberry pi is way more popular on the general public than any of those, we understand that you don't want to support it, like you said you don't care, but tkaiser is doing a great job by providing is modified image and helping us

And he really doesn't like supporting it either. Don't forget I created and maintained the first RPi image for a long time. Just too much support required and moving to the armbian-based image seemed like a better idea. It just didn't reduce the support requirement much.

How could I ask you for anything? According to reason N°1 why I won't continue contributing to OMV I'm just some random forum user and not the creator and maintainer of the current RPi image. Also the image is 'BETA', everything is expected to be broken and OMV-Extras is not ready yet! It's not that I just carefully added the few bits to provide hardware support for the RPi 4 and a maintained kernel and everything else remains unchanged.

I absolutely agree with you. Until the RPI 4 was launched. I think this one is absolutely perfect as a small home NAS. Powerfull enough (at least 2 GB RAM, of course) and finally USB 3 Ports as well as a gigabit port. I already ordered one just to wait until Debian 10.1 and OMV 5 gets released. I´m absolutely looking forward to use it.
1 large HDD for everything that you just need from time to time
1 SSD for everything else (in my case Docker Containers for several things, TimeMachine backups etc.)
I don´t have the ability or knowledge to maintain anything but I honestly hope someone will do it.

Hm, I wouldn't say you can and I wouldn't say you can't but I understand why you want to do it, your best option would be to search for Kodi in Docker. TBH you have the best option, I have a Pi that runs just Kodi using an Emby plugin which communicates with the server.

I actually had nanopia m4 in mind but
I chose this product because of extra costs and waiting times
