SSL Question

HI,
When we create the SSL cert using LE plugin in OMV, do we need to always have that enabled? What if I don't want OMV web gui accessible anymore online. What can I do? I have current proxies through nginx that I want to keep open, but just not have web gui access anymore.
Basically, I want to have my proxies running with SSL but no access to webgui via external internet anymore.
