Minidlna and 4K video

Hi there, is it possible to play 4K videos?
My problem: I can see thumbs and play FHD videos from OMV/minidlna on my Sony UHD TV, but no 4K videos - not even thumbs are visible. I can play the same videos on the TV from USB.
If it is possible, does it need some additional configuration?
(OMV 3 on Odroid C1)

Minidlna can stream 4k files. I have a couple of samples and they work fine in my tv. Is lg, I wouldn’t think it makes a difference. I think the files are not in the db probably.

Thanks for the info, I'll try to resolve it.
(Sony claims to support the same video formats on both DLNA and USB.)
