Wake On Lan stopped working for 'wake' on Intel NUC after recent upgrades

  • I had my Intel NUC (2016 variety) installed with about 6 weeks ago and Wake On Lan was working fine to start the system. It still works for shutdown, but not for startup after upgrading to 4.1.9 at the end of July. I have the latest omv-extras as of the past week.

To try to start troubleshooting, I see this when trying tcpdump on a wakeup packet while the system is up, but do not know if this shows anything useful:
    11:09:09.541610 IP (tos 0x0, ttl 128, id 25769, offset 0, flags [none], proto UDP (17), length 130)
    ARock-Z77-Intel.fios-router.home.discard > broadcast.discard: [udp sum ok] UDP, length 102

Any ideas on how to get it working again? Thanks.

Edited once, last by astein70: Seems to have fixed itself somehow, likely due to some update. I do 'apt upgrade' as notified via my Notification setup. Thanks to whoever fixed this! ().
