NFS problems saving files

  • After a new install and restoring data I mounted data shares from NFS-Server. Had no problems to access the data-Files, but when trying to save changes got error messages.

I changed then on the OMV NFS-Server in /etc/exports

    the line
    /export 192.168.178.0/24(ro,fsid=0,no_subtree_check,hide)

    to

    /export 192.168.178.0/24(ro,fsid=0,no_root_squash,no_subtree_check,hide)

a good approach? Will it last further changes on /etc/exports ?

    Bye Micha

  • Hope presented the Problem right:

A OMV Server and and a Notebook with Ubuntu. Tried until now:

    - created a user with passwd
    - Access via smb with passwort
    - Access via NFS using no_root_squash
    - mounting direct
    - mounting with fstab

Think it is a Problem copying the files while Installation, i just dont know which permisssions the files must have after copying to be accessible within mounting.

    Any hints?
