Hello!
As someone who has been researching Synology NAS's for the last few months I stumbled upon OMV and I've fell down the rabbithole.
Love this solution, get to repurpose unused hardware and customise to my hearts content. Great to have such a good community behind it too!
Anyway...as you can see I am a new user but with the likes of @TechnoDadLifes videos and linuxserver helping along the way, it's certainly made the learning curve enjoyable.
So to my question. I am attempting to use Reverse Proxy via Letsencrypt and DuckDNS to create a landing page/dock of Heimdall of which I can then use to navigate to all of my containers that I wish to use. All of course outside of my network.
So far, by following @TechnoDadLifes videos I have successfully installed all the Docker containers that I want and have Heimdall running too. Letsencrypt was successful and my DuckDNS subdomain currently generates the "Welcome to our server" Letsencrypt landing page.
This is where I am stuck. Where do I go from here?
Essentially I am trying to figure two things out:
- How to get my DuckDNS subdomain to open on Heimdall as my "Apps Dock" and then be able to navigate to the rest of my Apps/OMV web GUI from outside of my home network (Can this be password protected?)
- How to get my DuckDNS subdomain to function via FTP from outside of my home network (since installing Letsencrypt I can't get this function to work).
Is what I am trying to do achievable or is my logic misplaced?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
