Changes in Active Directory visible in OMV after some hours

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

We are running OpenMediaVault Version 2.2.4 sucessfully since a couple of years.
The Server is connected to our Active Directory and we are managing permissions on shares by users and groups in Active Directry.
Everytime we make some changes in the Active Directroy (e.g. create a new user or group) it takes some ours after the new users / groups are visible in OpenMediaVault. If you have a lot of changes to make, this can be very frustrating.
Is there any way to force OMV to update against ActiveDirectory or some other way to get the actual state of AD in OMV?

Yes, I am ware of that.
We already have plans to update to a new version in future. Probably this will fix the problem. But this is our central file server for 100+ users. So this need some planning time.
Any other ideas except the update to a new version that could be a quick workaround?

No. But even if that would work it would be no option. As I mentioned above this is our central file server with 100 + Users.
