impossible to install OMV from debian

Trying to install OMV on Helios4 with armbian stretch.
First I try to install it from raspi-config, but it fails, then I try manualy — same results:

UPD: Solved

Source of problem was I install via armbian-config both OMV and nextcloud.
Nextcloud pull incompatible with OMV PHP version.
Solution — clean install, no nextcloud package in base system, use another host or docker for nextcloud.

The Helios4 is supported by Armbian, not Raspbian. Go the Armbian download page -> here and get the image for Helios. (Get the Stretch version because OMV5 for Buster is not ready yet.) Read the Armbian Doc's and install OMV from armbian config

I am sorry, mistype. Sure it's armbian stretch, I take note about strtch and OMV on download page.

Hi,

i retry to reinstall, but now impoosible to had an clean debian 10

Any problem during the install, but when i reboot at the end of installation , my computer not running the Debian OS

Are you sure you're installing Debian? The messages are referencing Avahi and OpenBSD. Both are BSD related.

Are you using, maybe, the wrong CD/DVD/Thumbdrive?

avahi is a package that advertises services on linux and the openbsd reference is for openssh since they maintain it So, I see a Linux system in the picture but it is also loading desktop evironment stuff. I would avoid the live or graphical options.

It certainly didn't look like the garden variety Debian 10 Net Install.

During the installation you are asked what to install. Don't install any desktop environment.

If the ISO passes an MD5 hash, it's good.

With an exception for the SSH server, I wouldn't install any additional software.
Also, you might want to check the health and condition (SMART stat's) of the drive you're installing to.

Is there a reason why you can't use the integrated Debian/OMV iso?

Also, I read in earlier posts that you're "killing USB drives". After the installation is complete, are you installing the flashmemory plugin?

@crashtest, i used this kind of installation since few month ( before i installed only omv )
but i never installed flashmemory plugin
it's a plugin for my NAS hardware ? , debian, or Omv ?

flashmemory is a plugin for OMV. If you want to use flash media as a boot drive, the flashmemory plugin needs to be installed after OMV is up and running. If it's not installed, thumbdrives and SD-cards die early. They won't last long.

Installing OMV-Extras is required, before the flashmemory plugin is visible.

I was going to run the user guide through a translation, for your language. But if you have the flashmemory plugin installed, according to the instructions on the plugin page, you probably don't need it.

With the flashmemory plugin installed, I think you'll find that your UBS thumb drives will last much longer.

Yes, no desktop environment. Disable everything in that list except ssh and standard system utility.

But why don't you use the OMV ISO? Much simpler.
