omv-confdbadm: command not found

  • I would guess the openmediavault package itself did not finish installing. What is the output of: dpkg -l | grep openm

    omv 5.5.17-3 usul | 64 bit | 5.4 proxmox kernel | omvextrasorg 5.4.2
omv-extras.org plugins source code and issue tracker - github

Please don't PM for support... Too many PMs!

  • @Erikk Can you help me understand that a little better? Still learning Linux & I'm not sure what this is or why it's a problem.

  • @Erikk This is what I got:

    Bash
    /usr/sbin/omv-confdbadm populate
    /usr/share/openmediavault/confdb/populate.d/20hostname.sh: 27: /usr/share/openmediavault/confdb/populate.d/20hostname.sh: omv-confdbadm: not found
    ...

Well, seems it still wants to know the path to omv-stuff... Ok, try to add '/usr/sbin' into your PATH environment variable

    Bash
    export PATH=$PATH:/usr/sbin

Then run 'omv-confdbadm populate' and see if it finished properly.
If it's not, see ryecoaaron's comment above.
