Further to the above post, this is the following error log that results in what Nefertiti wrote:

    Can anyone help?

  • I deleted everything and started from scratch. Got everything working ok just following Techno dad life's video, good stuff!

However I have one question regarding Nextcloudpi. I see in the settings menu that Preview generator is automatically active. Does that mean that I don't have to setup a cron job as I did before? Do the generator in Nextcloudpi automatically also cover external storage?

  • Hi all,

I am trying to install nextcloudpi on my server but am having some issues

I am running mergefs and snapraid and wish to install the package on the merged desk

when i run lsblk, i dont see my merged partition

When i normally run dockers i point it to "/srv/78d3c681-3fb5-46c8-9900-dd43b82465ae/somedirectory " but this doesnt exist in the list

    Have i setup snapraid/mergefs wrong?

  • Hi TechnoDadLife

I'm fan of your Channel, I' learning a lot there, but in this vídeo I can't finish

O followed your vídeo third time

and after install Docker and Portainer I Lost access the Gui interface of OMV.

The fisrt time and only lost the interface when I installed nextcloudpi

And nextcloud show that is inicialize but never inicialize.

Só I reinstall using noobs in raspberry to try again, again..

    What I'm doing wrong?

  • I reinstall

    Now a new error

Nextcloud is not installed - only a limited number of commands are available

There are no commands defined in the "config:system" namespace.

NextCloudPi not yet initialized, trying again in a few seconds ...

  • Under what system user is nextcloudpi docker running?

Can the user be changed? There is no info on the ownyourbits page about that.

I cannot access part of my files from within nextcloud. Should be a permission issue.

  • It's really strange.

The folder structure i would like to access is 770 in general (/JulyPaddy).

ACL includes the group "users" and user "www-data" as well as group "www-data" with read/write access. to /JulyPaddy

user www-data is in groups "users" as well as the group "julypaddy"

"julypaddy" also has priviledges for the shared folder (/JulyPaddy).

Adding the share in "external storage" works with a green light but it is empty in nextcloud.

  • The directory is shown as empty in Nextcloud.

When I log in as www-data on the console with:

    Code
    sudo -u www-data bash

I can enter the directory and get the directoriy listing.

Doing a file scan in admin interface says:

    Code
Exception during scan: opendir(/JulyPaddy/): failed to open dir: Permission denied
    #0 [internal function]: OCA\Files\Command\Scan->exceptionErrorHandler(2, 'opendir(/JulyPa...', '/data/nextcloud...', 131, Array)

Seems like www-data user is not the same as the docker www-data user even if the UID is identical??

When logging into the container console the owner of the directory is different that on the host system.

The owner is here ncp and not my system user. Maybe ACLs and permissions are also not reflected correclty to the docker?
