Brand new install. Getting this error message and am stuck. I'm trying to mount 2 more drives. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Try rebooting.

Otherwise, since this is a fresh install, reinstall from scratch. Make sure you do things right. Don't experiment if you want a prestine install.

I typically can't be bothered to troubleshoot more than the most basic stuff. So I either reinstall or restore a backup if I paint myself into a corner. The OMV error messages typically have a little too much boilerplate filling to be helpful...

One shortcut to a perfect prestine install is to clone or backup the root filesystem now and then during the installation and configuration process. Then, if you mess up, you don't have to start from scratch. Just restore the latest working configuration and continue from there.

You will need to backup your NAS when it is configured to your liking. You might just as well start early and use the backups/clones to make it easier for you to get a perfect configuration without any dangling files and folders. Annoying glitches. Strange behavior.

Be smart - be lazy. Clone your rootfs.
