I am still seeing this on version 5.2.7-1:

It says the target is already mounted. I would delete the pool, reboot, and try again.

  • Unfortunately after updating to OMV 05-2-6 and then in 5-2-7 my filesystemunion pool no longer works, I have recreated another one, but I should delete the shared folders, which I can't do because they are mentioned with the old pool. How can I delete shared folders?

  • It says the target is already mounted. I would delete the pool, reboot, and try again.

Agreed.. which is the issue I've been seeing. It's like it's trying to recreate the pool with a new uuid
My existing pool is uuid: 2027*****

I checked etc/openmediavault/config.xml and there's no mention of two pools.

  • It seems to create these temp files in /etc/openmediavault/.
I removed 1, and created a new remote share (just to provoke something to reapply settings) and got the same error.
    Now I am seeing 3 config.xml.0001, 0002, 0003 files..

    config.xml config.xml.0002 php.ini
    config.bak config.xml.0001 config.xml.0003

reverting in GUI doesn't remove the remote mount and doesn't remove the temp files in the dir.

If your config.xml is a weird state, it might require manual fixing.

Anything I can look for ?

It is hard to generate a list of abnormal things. I would delete the pool and remote mount then recreate them.

I still have the shared folders that I can no longer delete, even in samba

Try changing the device of the shared folder to a different device.

I have already tried but I get this error that does not allow me to change anything

Then you will have to remove them from the sharedfolders and smb sections of /etc/openmediavault/config.xml.

  • Ok unfortunately everything is broken and the only solution would be to reinstall everything ... but
and here I should thank GDERF who kindly lent / gave me his script to create the system images.
    here the writing

    What's your Raid system ?

thanks to which I only had to burn again the image of before the disaster happened to me, and everything went back as before ...

    Thanks again

  • Hi,

I don't want to hijack this thread, but need help here.

    I have a similar issue.
Can't created new share folders after a new pool is created, and I also can't connect to existing share folders via samba.
I even modified the sharefolders-media.mount in /etc/systemd/system to reflect the changes, but no luck.
