Is it possible to run OMV 5 on Odriod HC-2?
OMV 5 on Odriod HC-2

Yes. I have 2 on OMV5. You need to start with an Armbian image built for the hc2.
-
I also have one. Works great.
Here is a guide how to do it:
Installing OMV5 on Raspberry PI's, Armbian SBC's, & i386 32-bit platforms
Here you can download Armbian:
https://www.armbian.com/odroid-hc1/
I would choose the Buster version. You will end up with OMV5.

Ups, which config do you mean? So, probably not

On Armbian's hc1/hc2 download page just below the first download options there is this:
ZitatThis board is stripped Odroid XU4 and we use the same images, however, we provide a specially optimized config (for kernel 4.14.y or higher) which has to be applied manually. This results in shorter boot time and lower consumption. Run armbian-config utility and go to section system -> DTB and select optimized board configuration for Odroid HC1. The same config is valid for HC2 and MC1
After installing the Buster Server image at the very bottom of the page I run the config utility, and then run the OMV install script. I couldn't say if it helps, but I didn't notice any adverse effects. I just wondered if it even applied to the server version of the install.

Ah. Actually I did that (and forgot about it). But I also can't say if it improved something or not as I did it as you just after the installation.

Hey fellows!
I'm kinda newbie and desperately need your help, I use the manual but still have troubles.
The point is that after I run script, the OMV done install and after reboot the device is missed from the network. There is no DHCP, not a new one nor an old one.
Tried to do everything from the scratch again and again, but each time I have the same result.
Interestingly, if I'm not rebooting after OMV install complete I can enter the server through a web interface. Any suggestions how I can fix that?
Just in case my setup is:
Odroid-hc2
mikrotik hap ac2
macbook (so if there is some way to establish ethernet connection with odroid pls let me know)
Thank you in advance!

On a Mac use Angry Ip Scanner to find your machine’s address, but look for “xu4”, not “hc2”. If it doesn’t show up do a hard restart and run the ip scanner again.

Have a look at that thread:

Hi all, I just acquired an HC2 and this thread seems to contain all the steps required to perform an installation for OMV5, so thank you for that.
I do have a question prior to starting - the recommendation is to use the Armbian Buster server image, but that one is on 4.14.y kernel while the Buster minimal is at 5.4.y kernel. Am I missing the right link to Buster server on a 5.4.y kernel?
-
I would try the Buster minimal with 5.4 Kernel. It has now the stable label (when I tried it, it had the unstable label and it did not boot).

Thanks for the reply. It seems to have worked!Scratch that, it worked as long as I didn't connect an HDD. Once I do, the OS never comes alive (blue LED keeps on solid; no heartbeat). Removing the HDD doesn't help. It's as if the installation gets corrupted.I then chose Buster Server 4.14 and that worked. Either the "minimal" build is creating a problem or Kernel 5.4.

Thanks for the feedback. Might help others.

I did not noticed that when i installed it on my Odroid HC2.
Could i apply these optimizations even now that i'm on OMV5 already?

Not sure. Back up your SD card and give it a try.
-
I cannot se Buster server on download options.
Edit:
Is this Legacy version?
