Hello, I was wondering also if there was a feature in OMV that will allow files written to CIFS or NFS shares that are writable only once. This would be good for backup locations that become immutable and therefore resilient to crypto attacks. May be some out-of-band communication to the NAS to unlock a specific files to enable backup products to perform retention duties such as removing old backup files and rolling forward.
I am a picturing file level immutability like on "chattr +i" on linux and still having normal permissions but once written to completion the +i switch could be applied a file.
Just a thought.
Thank you in advance.
