New Install - RAID NOT FOUND

  • So I am new to the OMV world but I think it’s a great app! So here is my issue.

Had an installation on a small drive which was failing.; but before that I setup a 3 DRIVE RAID called “FTPSERVER”

I removed the drive which held the installation, replaced it and then did a FRESH install. After that it will not boot and keeps dropping to a shell and stating the following:

No arrays found in config file or automatically

Found some drive for an array that is already active: /dev/md/openmediavault:FTPSERVER

So I tried to disconnect the three drives and boot which did not work either.

No arrays found in config file or automatically

    Any help would be great!
Can a fresh install be done again and wipe out all settings?

  • First of all fix your system boot issue. You need a working OMV installation for all other things.

About your RAID problem: There are tons of similar threads here in the forum. Please use the search function and search for "RAID" and user "geaves". Maybe the solution of your problem was already posted.
