Problem with diskstats

  • Hello there,

this is my first day adventuring to Raspberry Pi, Linux and OMV. I was doing ok till now.

I started to find a problem to turn on the monitoring to test stuff. But it always give me error when i try to apply. I searched for solutions, then I tried to remove the plugin for it, end re-install it.

Now I can´t remove it, neither update other plugins, because it stays on way to remove.

    When I : apt-get -f install

    Reading package lists... Done

    Building dependency tree

    Reading state information... Done

The following packages will be REMOVED:

    openmediavault-diskstats

0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 1 to remove and 1 not upgraded.

1 not fully installed or removed.

After this operation, 114 kB disk space will be freed.

Do you want to continue? [Y/n] y

(Reading database ... 67430 files and directories currently installed.)

    Removing openmediavault-diskstats (5.0.4-1) ...

/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/salt/utils/path.py:265: DeprecationWarning: Using or importing the ABCs from 'collections' instead of from 'collections.abc' is deprecated, and in 3.8 it will stop working

    if not isinstance(exes, collections.Iterable):

dpkg: error processing package openmediavault-diskstats (--remove):

installed openmediavault-diskstats package post-removal script subprocess returned error exit status 1

    Errors were encountered while processing:

    openmediavault-diskstats

    E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

I hope you guys can help me out.

  • Monitoring is disabled on RPi by default as it is causing many writes to the SD card which will make the card wear fast.

What is the output of dpkg -l | grep openm?

Or just do a reinstall. Once you reached a good status of the installation make a clone of the SD card. So if something goes wrong in the future you can easily restore from the clone.

  • Can you please run the command LANG=C.UTF-8 omv-salt deploy run collectd and post the output?

I've the same problem, can't uninstall diskstats

After upgrading OMV to version 5.5.8, I could remove diskstats normally
