OMV New Install on Pi won't accept default Password

    Raspberry Pi 3B+ first time install. Used instructions exactly as //linuxhint.com/openmediavault_raspberry_pi_3/ and the addendum B "installing OMV on Raspberry Pi. All install followed without any errors. The combination username 'admin' and word 'openmediavault' returns "access denied". I can sign into the default 'pi' account in the same Putty session but not the OMV account. When I connect a display to the Pi directly, U get the correct IP address displayed and the message "By default the web control...……" It shows 'admin" and 'openmediavault' as the correct log in.


    I am stuck.

    Not clear to me exactly what you are doing but if you are trying to login to the console or via ssh with the admin/openmediavault credentials it will not work.


    The admin/openmediavault credentials only work with the WebGUI.
