[OMV5] Free Disk space warning

    • Offizieller Beitrag

Let's wait for a comment from ryecoaaron about going this step.

I have little doubt that OMV 6 is in the release candidate stage but I am very far behind. So, I don't know what to do.

  • Hi this does not seem to work OR am I doing something wrong?

Here is my env variable value:

    Code
    root@hpomv:~# omv-env get OMV_MONIT_SERVICE_FILESYSTEM_SPACEUSAGE
    OMV_MONIT_SERVICE_FILESYSTEM_SPACEUSAGE=97

And here is the email I get as notification:

    Here is my omv screenshot

As you can see the disk is 95% full but I did set the env variable to 97!!

Question votdev. The following code returns nothing - hence my assumption is this env variable is not set.

    Code
    omv-env get OMV_MONIT_SERVICE_FILESYSTEM_SPACEUSAGE

If I want to set this variable to say 97% then is this the correct syntax? Does this apply to ALL mounted disks?

    Code
    omv-env set OMV_MONIT_SERVICE_FILESYSTEM_SPACEUSAGE "97"

You need to let saltstack know about the change: sudo omv-salt stage run prepare

  • As per docs (at last I read it :-)) It says to run these commands. Should I run ALL the 3 commands or only the

    Zitat

    omv-salt stage run prepare

    Apply changes

To apply the custom settings you need to execute the following commands as root:

    Code
    # monit restart omv-engined
    # omv-salt stage run prepare
    # omv-salt stage run deploy

Should I run ALL the 3 commands

Did you already run all three commands? If so, no need to run them again but it shouldn't hurt to run them. I only posted the one command because that is all that is necessary for most things. Maybe notifications (I don't use them) need the other two.

  • Ok thx - I ran all the three command in that order.

For the benefit of others, command "omv-salt stage run prepare" takes some time and command "omv-salt stage run deploy" takes considerable more time than prepare. Your mileage might vary. Prepare and Deploy did spit out messages and from the look of it looks fine to me. Here is a tail of deploy command.
