Cant connect to OMV/OdroidHC2 after installation

  • Hi,

I have an issue with installation of OMV on Odroid-HC2.

    I'm following this guide:

    https://github.com/OpenMediaVa…lling_OMV5_on_Armbian.pdf

After the install script goes through and i reboot the odroid I can't connect to it again. It look like it does not start. I tried searching with Advanced IP scanner for a new IP but nothing is found also router does not show any new clients.

    Anyone had any similar issues?

    Any help would be useful.

    Kind regards.

Only thing I know is rescan your Advanced ip scanner, and look for any ip's you don't recognize. Type ip's into your browser that are near where you last had a connection. Sometimes the ip will change after first reboot because a short DHCP lease is set on the router. Also your hostname will not be "hc2" but "xu4". you might even type into your browser xu4.local. Refresh the info on your router. Get a bigger hammer. Eventually you are going to have to unplug it and see if a hard restart helps.

System Backup Typo alert: Under the Linux section the command should be sudo umount /dev/sda1 NOT sudo unmount /dev/sda1

Backup Data Disk to Backup Disk on Same Machine: In a Scheduled Job:rsync -av --delete /srv/dev-disk-by-uuid-f8814ed9-9a5c-4e1c-8830-426968c20ea3/ /srv/dev-disk-by-uuid-e67439d5-00a3-4942-bd5f-b84ab86aa850/ Don't forget trailing slashes, and BE CAREFUL. (HT: Getting Started with OMV5)

  • Hi, Thank you for the answer, but i figured it out. Issue was that network interface was not set after the install and it did not connect to the network. In the guide it was written that I need to reboot after the install. And that was wrong. I had to set up the network interface fist!

    Thank you anyways.

    Kind regards.
