Cannot login , it times out and i get communications errors

Hi

had this now with a previous and ended up reinstalling which i would prefer not to do as i also lost my raid array.

just times out on GUI and goes to comms error.

have tried using root instead of admin but says invalid login

tried a use also i setup for SMB shares but the same

I have had a look through some threads without a clear answer , saw some suggestions to upgrade

can anyone tell me please Putty commands to check current and update to latest release please?

Post the output of

dpkg -l | grep openmedia

You can copy the output from putty and paste it in the forum using the icon </> in the menu bar above the post.

Right. You can upgrade to OMV5. But there are some changes related to the plugins. Some of them are not ported but there are replacements

docker-gui --> portainer (installable from OMV extras)

shellinabox --> terminal in cockpit, or cmd/putty/powershell on Windows

remotedesktop --> docker (e.g https://hub.docker.com/r/danielguerra/ubuntu-xrdp)

The upgrade process is described here

RE: OMV 5.0 - finally out! :-)

The unsupported plugins will be removed at the beginning of the upgrade script.

Hi thanks for your help, however i get message above. it is on a 60GB ssd so I am guessing i need to try and increase the one of the partition sizes?

You can check how much space is left on the partition and how big it is

df -h
