Good to know. When I tested the images without the network mode host setting the docker only broadcasted in the docker network. With the setting it worked fine and the clients found the server automatically without setting the ip addresses.
Urbackup via Docker complete path (storage) not accessable

sorry to bump thread but I have 3 window clients and OMV5 server running urbackup running at different times. Lately I have been getting a communication error on the OMV UI and then this on the web browser:
Is this cause for concern?

Absolute noob to UrBackup, Docker, OMV5 and Linux !!
Try to set backup file destination on external disk in which there is a shared folder Backup.
In setting I am entering /srv/dev-disk-by-uuid-fc9210f6-ca7f-4e77-afa8-efb843deb481/Backup ion the Backup Storage entry.
Where am I going wrong
PS I am trying to backup 6 Windows machines and the system disk is only 256gb

You need to bind mount the folder
/srv/dev-disk-by-uuid-fc9210f6-ca7f-4e77-afa8-efb843deb481/Backup
to an internal folder in the container (e.g. backups). Did you do that?
If you did, you just need to add "backups" in the backup storage entry.
example docker-compose.yml from here:
https://hub.docker.com/r/uroni/urbackup-server
Code
Alles anzeigenversion: '2' services: urbackup: image: uroni/urbackup-server:latest container_name: urbackup restart: unless-stopped environment: - PUID=1000 # Enter the UID of the user who should own the files here - PGID=100 # Enter the GID of the user who should own the files here - TZ=Europe/Berlin # Enter your timezone volumes: - /path/to/your/database/folder:/var/urbackup - /path/to/your/backup/folder:/backups # Uncomment the next line if you want to bind-mount the www-folder #- /path/to/wwwfolder:/usr/share/urbackup network_mode: "host" # Activate the following two lines for BTRFS support #cap_add: # - SYS_ADMIN

Many thanks for your help , but as I said I am a complete noob at QMV5.
How do I bind mount the folder?
Many Thanks
-
How did you setup the container?
Post your docker-compose.yml or a screenshot of Portainer of the volumes/bind mount section. If you read this thread you might find out as well

I think this is the screenshot you wanted, if not please point me in the correct direction.
Many Thanks

Have a look at this post
RE: Urbackup via Docker complete path (storage) not accessable
You get the view when you go to the Container in Portainer and Click "Duplicate/Edit" at the top of the page. Then scroll down to "advanced container settings" and then to the volumes tab.
Add a volume mapping. Make sure "Bind" is selected and not "Volume".
Then enter "/backups" in the container field and the path to your backup folder on the host in the host field. The path is
/srv/dev-disk-by-uuid-fc9210f6-ca7f-4e77-afa8-efb843deb481/Backup
as you mentioned above.
Then deploy the container.
