Hey Guys,
I did installed Pihole and everything went smoothly...I am not seeing any query blocked despite I configured the router with my server IP under DHCP...
Any idea why it is not doing its job?
Thanks!!
Hey Guys,

Here is a guide:
[How To] Install Pi-Hole in Docker: Update 01/27/20 - Adding Unbound, a Recursive DNS Server
Did you tell your router to use pihole as DNS server?
Thanks for your response!
I did setup my router as per below :
Primary DNS : IP address of my server
Secondary DNS : Blank (was 8.8.8.8)
MTU : 1500
MAC Address Clone: Blank
Let me know!
Primary DNS : IP address of my server
Secondary DNS : Blank (was 8.8.8.8)
Try with secondary DNS either blank or also IP address of your pi-hole.
My router is switching between primary and secondary DNS without apparent reason.
Shut down the router and the clients and boot again.
my pihole has the same ip address of omv...could not put the same ip for primary and secondary...
Should I change pihole ip?
let me know
what IP have your DHCP Server?
What Ip have your Gateway?
Whap IP have your PC ?
What IP have your NAS?.
Con you post images of your Pihole page http://yourNASIP/admin ?
can you post your PC Ip settings ( IP/mask, gateway and DNS server) ?
here the requested info :
IP DHCP Server : 192.168.0.24
IP Gateway : 192.168.0.254
PC IP : 192.168.0.167
NAS IP : 192.168.0.24
Pihole : 192.168.0.24/admin
See attached
Pihole dashboard
you probably have 2 DHCP servers that is not good.
revise your router 192.168.0.254 to be sure that is NOT your DHCP server (if you use your Pi-hole as DHCP server).
Or at least be sure that if you want to use your router as DHCP server, revise that you have disabled DHCP server on your Pihole.
PD: I see your PC capture and show 192.168.0.254 as DHCP server , but you put on your answer that DHCP server is 192.168.0.24 ( your PI-hole install).
If stiil do not work , post more info about your pihole install, and revise that you can ping to http://www.google.com from a shell inside your NAS (IP=192.168.0.24).
And my last question ; why do you install on your host system pi-hole?, why do not use a MacVLAN to assing a new IP like 192.168.0.2 or something simmilar like I do in [HOWTO] install PIHOLE on OMV5 using portainer WEBGUI on a MacVlan
I tried everything...despite I changed the DHCP server on my router settings to 192.168.0.24 still displaying 192.168.0.254
Honestly I am lost...would love to have this working...
what you need for me to make this working?
thx

because you do not define network mode, my suspect is that pihole is started on bridge mode and this is the cause that do not work as you expected.
please use my howto and edit to your needs.
Just wondering did you manage to solve your problem?
