I just upgraded from OMV4 by doing a fresh install of OMV5, and like many people here I'm having some growing pains with Portainer.
Trying to create a container for haugene/transmission-openvpn using the Portainer UI gives me TLS errors:
Mon Jun 29 17:41:54 2020 OpenVPN 2.4.7 x86_64-pc-linux-gnu [SSL (OpenSSL)] [LZO] [LZ4] [EPOLL] [PKCS11] [MH/PKTINFO] [AEAD] built on Sep 5 2019Mon Jun 29 17:41:54 2020 NOTE: the current --script-security setting may allow this configuration to call user-defined scriptsMon Jun 29 17:41:54 2020 TCP/UDP: Preserving recently used remote address: [AF_INET]188.8.131.52:1198Mon Jun 29 17:42:54 2020 TLS Error: TLS key negotiation failed to occur within 60 seconds (check your network connectivity)
BUT, if I create a stack in Portainer and use the compose file on the Github page, it seems to work fine. If edit the container that the stack creates through the Portainer UI and try to change an Environment Variable (say, a different OPENVPN_CONFIG), it goes back to having the TLS error again. Is there something the Portainer UI is doing that using the compose file isn't? For now I'm just going to do everything through compose, but it's been very frustrating trying to get this working again.
