After update only SSH is available, no other services

  • Hi everybody,

a few days ago, i tried to do an update by the webgui, but the process was giving me a lot of errors due to missing packets.

I tried to do an apt-clean on the webgui, and after this command, i cannot connect to any of the services installed on my Hp Microserver (Plex, Jdownloader, OMV, etc) , only SSH is working.

It seems that the system is not starting all the services connected to OMV, in fact when i reboot my microserver, after the post, the system loads very fast.

All the omv-.... commands (omv-firstaid, etc) are not working.

I checked the filesystem, and my system disk is not full, i have more then 300Gb available.

    Thanks in advance for help.

    ;)

Whatever you updated uninstall the openmediavault package. What is the output of:

    sudo tail -n50 /var/log/apt/history.log

I don't see any package that would've uninstalled OMV. What do get you when you run: apt-get install openmediavault Pay attention to anything it is going to remove and maybe post before answering Y to the question.

What about: apt-get install openmediavault iptables

this dependency chain could go on for a while. If this is a new install, I would re-install. Otherwise, what is the output of:

    cat /etc/apt/sources.list

    apt-get install openmediavault iptables libiptc0=1.8.2-4 libxtables12=1.8.2-4

    omv 7.0.4-2 sandworm | 64 bit | 6.5 proxmox kernel

  • Sorry ryecoaaron, it's not a new install.

    Code
    root@lucnas:~# cat /etc/apt/sources.list

I guess we found everything. I would run:

    apt-get install --no-install-recommends openmediavault iptables libiptc0=1.8.2-4 libxtables12=1.8.2-4

This will re-install openmediavault and the database should still be there but I can't promise anything. You will have to reinstall omvextras and the two plugins you had installed.

  • Now i have the gui working, but i cannot login, this is the error when i try to login:

    Code
    Error #0:

This is the end of the install log of the command you posted on your last post:

    There are some errors.

Sorry ryecoaaron if i insist to take advantage of your patience, if you think is better to do a fresh install of OMV, please feel free to suggest it.

    Thanks

Since the openmediavault package did not completely install, that is why the web interface does not work. Try: apt-get -f install
