lost file system

  • hi guys

this morning I made an update on raspberry pi4 (get update) and two volumes have disappeared after the reboot

the 4 usb disks are still there, but instead of seeing 4 volumes I only have 2

    an idea ?

I reinstalled omv on the sd-card, and it's still the same ...

the command ls -l / dev / sd * returns well

    pi @ OpenMediaVault: ~ $ ls -l / dev / sd *

    brw-rw ---- 1 root disk 8, 0 Sep 17 23:48 / dev / sda

    brw-rw ---- 1 root disk 8, 1 Sep 17 23:48 / dev / sda1

    brw-rw ---- 1 root disk 8, 16 Sep 17 23:48 / dev / sdb

    brw-rw ---- 1 root disk 8, 17 Sep 17 23:48 / dev / sdb1

    brw-rw ---- 1 root disk 8, 32 Sep 17 23:48 / dev / sdc

kernel problem with the usb port?

More than likely, the problem is with the USB bridge in your enclosure (not the R-PI's port).

I had an older R-PI4 install with kernel 4.19.118-v7
I built it out with a 2 drive USB dock, 2 drives installed, populated it with data, etc., then upgraded the install. It's now at kernel 5.4.51.-v7. All appears to be normal. (I didn't expect to find an issue but it was worth the try.)
