New NAS disk config

  • I think the SSD as cache drive is the problem. I don´t know if it is supported by OMV to use a SSD as disk cache for a RAID array. As I know mdadm does not support this. Also snapraid and mergerfs do not handle a cache disk.

@all: Please correct me if I´m wrong.

ZFS supports cache drives for several purposes. But this would mean a lot of manual work by CLI commands in OMV. But should be possible in principle.

It therefore depends which kind of RAID do you intend to use.

    OMV 3.0.100 (Gray style)

    ASRock Rack C2550D4I C0-stepping - 16GB ECC - 6x WD RED 3TB (ZFS 2x3 Striped RaidZ1) - Fractal Design Node 304 -

    3x WD80EMAZ Snapraid / MergerFS-pool via eSATA - 4-Bay ICYCube MB561U3S-4S with fan-mod

  • i configured it
