Invalid RPC response

  • Hi. I use OMV on NAS Solution. I've an Odroid XU4+Cloudshell 2.

    After creating BRTFS filesystem, I've one error message windows:

    Code
    Erreur #0:
    OMV\Rpc\Exception: Invalid RPC response. Please check the syslog for more information. in /usr/share/php/openmediavault/rpc/rpc.inc:187
    Stack trace:
    #0 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/rpc/proxy/json.inc(97): OMV\Rpc\Rpc::call('FileSystemMgmt', 'enumerateMounte...', Array, Array, 3)
    #1 /var/www/openmediavault/rpc.php(45): OMV\Rpc\Proxy\Json->handle()
    #2 {main}

    The syslog:

    Now, when I attempt to connect on the filesystem menu, it loops without charge the page, as (in French):

    One idea to resolve this problem?!

  • Hi, I have again this problem!

    Very weird! :(

    The syslog:

    ----

    the command brtfs:

    no error found!

    I can mount /dev/sda1 on /mnt, by instance.

    The fstab:

    But the dev '/dev/disk/by-label/' not exists! :(

    Why the FS can "disapear"?

    This is surely not the reason because this only affects the device files of storage devices. In your case it seems the device file of the filesystem is missing.

    Did you install a backport kernel or did you do any modification to the system that could explain this?

  • Please explain step by step (incl. every CLI command) how we can reproduce this issue.

    nothing extraordinary, nothing unusual.

    I create the BTrfs by the button [ Create ] on menu "Filesystem".

    And, after sometimes, just after creating, or few hours, the OS loose the FS!

    Normally, no. I run on: Armbian 20.08.17 Buster with Linux 5.4.72-odroidxu4

    (see this project: https://forum.odroid.com/viewtopic.php?f=147&t=39319)
