What I need sounds quite simple: I wanted to create a shared folder that would be discoverable via SMB over the network and completely public, yet without people that log in without any credentials to be able to edit anything. I have one user or user group that should be allowed to edit all the contents within this directory, but only if they log in with that specific user account. Is that something that I am capable of doing? How do I generally edit the permissions of guests, and is there a way to control anonymous users (no username, no password) via the Access Rights Management tab?
Shared folder permissions:
anonymous logins: read
user accounts with credentials: read and write
How do I do that?
Any help is very much appreciated!
