Hello! I would like to ask help from more experienced people regarding my problem. So, i recently had a hard drive fail on me and bought another one from ebay for cheap. Turns out the drive is an SED Sas from seagate. Now at first it wont let me format it through OMV. After reading about it i downloaded the Seatools bootable usb and (unlocked?) the drives with its PUID. The issues are:
A: some sort of buffer error at boot.
B: wont play nice with union fs.
Now i dont have much know how, but after brute force trial and error i can pretty much say, its not cables, since the other drives are fine. It only acts up at boot and with union fs. Otherwise i can mount it and store data on it. Now the return policy in the drives is a bit janky to say the least. I will try that first. But in case i cant return them, is there a way to actually salvage these? If it matters i also have them attached to an LSI hba. I cant post text since i cant even ssh into the machine. I jait took pictures.
Sorry for the long post, but i wanted as much info available as possible at the get go.
Also i can add atm only one photo since its still to big a file size
